Kekén supports farmers in improving their harvests

This program is an integral part of the sustainable pig farming strategies that support the economic development of communities. By utilizing our sustainable fertilizer, the need for chemical fertilizers in crop preparation is reduced, thereby also lowering costs. In terms of the program's study and monitoring, two plots belonging to local farmers—in Maxcanú and San José Dzal in Yucatán—were used to assess the effectiveness and advantages of the substance also known as biosolid. The findings over a year indicate that biosolids as fertilizer not only enhance the yield and quality of the evaluated crops by providing essential nutrients but also increase soil fertility.
