Kekén: 12 years as a Socially Responsible Company

After 32 years of providing food to Mexican families, we have established ourselves as the second Yucatecan company to be frequently honored with the title of Socially Responsible Company. This recognition, awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE), highlights our dedication to social responsibility. The Socially Responsible Company (ESR) designation has emerged as a significant benchmark for continuous improvement among businesses, as well as a testament to corporate trust and transparency. Through this designation, the private sector's efforts in economic, environmental, and social areas are evaluated, measured, and acknowledged. This achievement underscores our commitment to sustainable production that conserves natural resources and ensures access to healthy food for both present and future generations. For Kekén, being recognized as a Socially Responsible Company is a core value that motivates us to continue developing actions and initiatives such as: - The Kekén T-Incluye program, through which we have successfully hired over 200 individuals with disabilities. - The preservation of over 13,000 hectares of jungle in the state of Yucatán. - Providing medical care to more than 35,000 people in the state via our medical centers and health programs. - Implementing technology in our farms, leading to a 50% reduction in water usage. - Promoting education and self-employment in communities through courses and workshops in partnership with the public sector. - Our circular economy projects, which have supported and promoted the work of beekeepers and farmers in various Yucatán localities.
