Firefighters of Maule now equipped with a new vehicle thanks to Coexca S.A.
A state-of-the-art fire engine, designed to effectively address the needs of the broad Villa Francia community sector in Maule, was recently unveiled by the Quinta Compañía Bomba España in that municipality. This significant addition was made possible through contributions from the Esteemed Municipality and Coexca S.A. This advanced Mercedes Benz vehicle is equipped with 4x4 traction, suitable for all terrains, making it highly adaptable for tackling emergencies across the expansive residential area of Villa Francia. Its size and capabilities ensure timely responses to emergencies, particularly fires or other situations that could impact the northern sector residents of Maule. It is uniquely capable of efficiently managing a structural fire in its free-burning phase or supporting the efforts to control forest fires, even in hard-to-reach areas. The official unveiling of the new engine was celebrated in a ceremony where Maule's mayor, Luis Vásquez, expressed gratitude towards Coexca S.A. for their support in enhancing the capabilities of the Quinta Compañía de Bomberos, situated in a vulnerable part of the municipality with numerous needs. "I am very pleased with this contribution. We are thankful to Coexca S.A. for their cooperation with this institution. The company has consistently supported the municipality, not just the firefighters but also the community's less fortunate," he stated. Guillermo García, the CEO of Coexca S.A., shared his delight over the positive impact the new fire engine will have on the community and reiterated the company's dedication to the development of the Maule municipality, where the company's processing plant operates. "We are thrilled to have made this contribution together with the Esteemed Municipality of Maule, enabling the acquisition of this engine and enhancing the capabilities of the Quinta Compañía. We are happy to contribute as we do with other institutions in this municipality and other regions of the country. It's part of our corporate social responsibility," he affirmed. Oscar Alonso, the Deputy Superintendent of the Fire Department, thanked Coexca S.A. and the Municipality for their support, which facilitated the acquisition of this vehicle, set to replace an engine that has been in operation since 1970.
