Company achieves recertification in Animal Welfare
Coexca S.A. and its subsidiary, Agrícola Coexca S.A., have been re-awarded the Animal Welfare Certification by FSTeam, supported by MSD Animal Health, which will be valid for an additional three years. Animal welfare represents an ethical commitment aimed at providing animals with a state of comfort during their upbringing. This involves meeting the minimum needs and requirements of the animal so that it can reach its full developmental potential. The certification renewal documents were presented in Curicó, with the event attended by Coexca S.A.'s CEO, Guillermo García; the chairman of the Meat Exporters Association and the Pork Producers Association (Asprocer), Juan Carlos Domínguez; as well as executives from the company, managers of the recertified farms, and representatives from the auditing firms, among others. During his speech, García emphasized that the certification achieved by the farms, the animal transportation system, and the company's main processing plant reflects the company's culture. Coexca S.A. has earned certifications in various areas and its subsidiaries, while he also expressed gratitude for the dedication of all organization members and the certifying companies throughout the audit process. "We are very pleased with this Animal Welfare recertification. Coexca S.A., in an integrated manner - including slaughter, transportation, and farms - was among the first Chilean companies to achieve this recertification previously. Today, we have achieved a new recertification, the result of the collective effort of all units. Animal welfare is embedded in our company's DNA, and we believe it is an essential part," he stated.
