Coexca S.A. ends the year with a positive agreement benefiting its workers
The positive market conditions and a promising outlook for pork exports encouraged Coexca S.A. to offer a proposal to the company's Unions, which included a new collective agreement. This proposal was warmly received by members of both trade organizations. As a result, the company decided to distribute an incentive bonus to the production workers at its processing plant in December, a gesture that was appreciated by those involved in the agreement. Yeimi Alarcón, Deputy Manager of People Development and Work Environment, stated that the initiative aimed to benefit the company's employees during a period of international success in the pork export sector, coinciding with the end-of-year holiday season. "We are always concerned about the well-being of those who are part of the Coexca S.A. family, especially those working in the production area of the slaughterhouse and who are unionized. Given the favorable international context, which has opened up more business opportunities for the company, we proposed a new collective contract and an incentive for the workers, a proposal that was emphatically accepted by them," she explained. Eduardo Poblete, president of Union No. 2 at Coexca S.A., praised the agreement, noting that it had the full support of all members of the organization. "At Coexca S.A., whenever there have been favorable market conditions, the company has always considered its workers. The company's successes include its workers, and they are happy with this proposal," he stated.
