A new Joint Committee for Hygiene and Safety takes office.

The committee, which will be chaired by Marcelo Ulloa, has renewed a portion of its members for two years, consisting of three worker representatives and an equal number representing the company. It is important to note that the Committee serves as a working group aimed at developing initiatives to enhance the management of occupational health and safety. Its responsibilities include monitoring compliance with prevention, hygiene, and safety measures by both the company and its workers; advising and training employees on the proper use of personal protective equipment. Additionally, the Committee is tasked with identifying and investigating the causes of potential accidents and occupational diseases within the facility; and determining whether an accident or occupational disease resulted from the worker's gross negligence. Ultimately, the Committee aims to promote training courses for employees. The worker representatives are: Nicolás Donaire Contreras; Hortensia Rebolledo Fuentealba; and Héctor Morales Salas. Representing the company in this body are: Carlos Hlousek González; Gloria Gutiérrez García, and Yeimi Alarcón Berrios.
