Thai Union has established i-Tail Americas, Inc. as its latest subsidiary.
A new entity, i-Tail Americas, Inc., has been established in the United States by i-Tail Corporation PCL, a subsidiary of Thai Union Group PCL, with an initial capital of USD 5 million. This venture is aimed at acquiring US Pet Nutrition, a firm engaged in the sale and distribution of pet food, from Thai Union North America Inc. This strategic move marks a significant step in the expansion of Thai Union Group's PetCare division, following the creation of i-Tail Corporation PCL the previous year to enhance the rapidly growing pet food sector and spearhead its further development and growth. Roy Chan, the CEO of i-Tail Corporation PCL, commented on the growth trajectory of the PetCare business, highlighting the surge in growth over recent years, particularly during the pandemic as pet adoption rates increased and pet owners invested more in their pets' care and nutrition. Chan emphasized that the formation of i-Tail Americas will enhance the company's agility in navigating the expanding domestic and international markets. He also noted i-Tail's dedication to promoting the health and well-being of pets, with Thai Union's Global Innovation Center leading efforts in PetCare innovation and product development. i-Tail Corporation PCL will own the entirety of i-Tail Americas, Inc.
