Thai Union Achieves Top Position in the Food Sector on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices

Bangkok, December 12, 2022 – Thai Union Group PCL, a leading global seafood company, has achieved the top ranking in the food industry worldwide according to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), marking a significant acknowledgment of its efforts in sustainability through its SeaChange® initiative. This recognition comes as Thai Union has consistently been featured on the DJSI for nine years in a row, securing the first place in the Food Products Industry Index of the DJSI, a position it also held in 2018 and 2019. Thai Union excelled in the Social and Environmental dimensions with a perfect 100th percentile score and achieved a 97th percentile in the Governance & Economic Dimension. The company also scored in the 100th percentile across 18 categories, including Materiality, Risk & Crisis Management, and Supply Chain Management, among others. This commitment is part of their broader vision for 'Healthy Living, Healthy Oceans,' which includes leading initiatives to address major industry challenges and effect meaningful change. Following its top ranking on the DJSI, Thai Union also received the highest ranking on the Seafood Stewardship Index (SSI) for its contributions towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
