Litera Meat Invests in Renewable Energy Sources
Litera Meat, since its inception in July 2019, has been a strong advocate for responsible and sustainable energy management, a key aspect of its environmental policy. The company's commitment to this cause is evident in its consistent efforts to invest in new projects aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and increasing the use of electricity from renewable sources. According to the Guarantee of Origin report by the National Commission on Financial Markets and Competition (CNMC), in 2019, 16.1% of Litera Meat's energy was sourced from renewable sources via Endesa S.A.U. This figure is expected to increase in May 2020, following the award of a contract to Acciona Green Energy, a company that supplies 100% renewable electricity and has an A rating. This ensures that the electricity generation process does not result in any CO2 emissions or radioactive waste. Manfred Bos, Litera Meat's CEO, emphasized that "renewable energy is not the future, it's the present. As a modern, large-scale business, we have always been dedicated to pursuing a sustainable strategy in terms of environmental responsibility." This agreement has further solidified our commitment to sustainability. We believe that sustainable development is a valuable asset that, in the long run, contributes to progress, adds value, and reinforces the principle of corporate social responsibility.
