International Quality Awards bring gold to ABP Ireland

ABP Ireland emerged as the top victor at the esteemed International Taste and Quality Institute (iTQi) Awards, an event held annually. This institute, based in Brussels, is recognized worldwide for its role in evaluating and advocating for high-quality food and beverage products. It employs a panel of 135 judges, who are esteemed members of prominent European culinary and sommeliers associations. The company was awarded three golden stars for both its Tipperary Dry Aged Black Angus Rib Eye Steak and its Hereford Dry Aged Rib Eye Steak. Additionally, its Hereford Dry Aged Striploin Steak and Tipperary Dry Aged Black Angus Striploin Steak were honored with two golden stars each. Eoin Ryan, the European Sales Manager for ABP Food Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the recognition, stating, "We are overjoyed to receive these accolades. It serves as further validation of our Ultra Tender process, which has led to ABP beef being featured in over 100 Michelin-starred restaurants globally. The awards are especially gratifying considering the European scope of the judging panel and our extensive supply network among some of Europe's premier retailers and food service providers." The award-winning products were processed at the ABP Cahir facility, which has recently undergone a significant upgrade. This facility was officially reopened in 2015 after receiving an investment of €50 million. ABP Cahir plays a crucial role in the local economy, employing over 600 individuals and contributing €200 million annually.
