Ellesmere announces business operations are fully operational

Following an extensive period of dedication and effort, the team at Ellesmere is excited to share that the facility is now operational and welcoming cattle. Pioneering Excellence Ellesmere has emerged as a pioneering facility within the Group, distinguished by its adoption of cutting-edge technologies that set new standards in the meat processing industry. Innovations at the site include a corridor to support biodiversity, a system for the collection and treatment of wastewater, and a combined heat and power (CHP) system that supplies the facility with both heat and electricity. Additionally, the cattle holding area has received endorsement from renowned animal welfare specialist, Dr. Temple Grandin. Commitment to Sustainability The transformation of the Ellesmere site exemplifies the strides being made across the ABP Group to prioritize sustainability in all our operations. The team's relentless commitment has brought this vision to life. The grand opening of the site is scheduled for September.
