Cooke Aquaculture Scotland Becomes Netball Orkney Sponsor

Cooke Aquaculture Scotland has committed to backing Netball Orkney in the lead up to the inaugural Island Invitational Netball Games 2023. The team of 15 players and their coaches are set to journey to the Isle of Man to participate in what is set to be the biggest and most demanding event the sports group has ever been involved in. The Cooke Community Benefit Fund will provide financial assistance to cover the expenses of participating in the Games. This will also enable the team to wear new away white uniforms and red training gear and tracksuit jackets, all bearing the Cooke Aquaculture Scotland logo. Erica Tait, the Chair of Netball Orkney, expressed her gratitude: "Cooke's support for the senior team throughout the previous season and during the Island Games campaign has been immense. We are deeply appreciative of this. The expenses related to training for and participating in any inter-island event are substantial, and Cooke's contribution has been instrumental in overcoming financial obstacles for the players." Six islands, including Orkney and Shetland, will have representation at the games, with all teams competing against each other from November 7-11. We invite applications to our Cooke Community Benefit Fund to aid the fundraising initiatives of local groups, service clubs, and charities. These entities, in collaboration with us, also contribute to the social fabric and economic wellbeing of the coastal and rural communities surrounding us. Learn more
