AGRI, an ABP Renewables company, launches a new biodiesel facility
Following a significant investment in bio diesel production, AGRI inaugurated its state-of-the-art bio diesel facility in Liverpool on Wednesday, May 9th. Located in Bootle, this cutting-edge facility is exclusively focused on converting used cooking oil into bio diesel, enhancing AGRI's nationwide collection service for used cooking oil. The facility boasts the capacity to produce up to 16 million litres of EN14214 standard bio diesel annually. This particular standard, which is a benchmark for bio diesel quality in Europe, is typically challenging to meet in bio diesel manufacturing using used cooking oil as the primary material. Moreover, the facility has been established on a Brownfield site, which has a longstanding tradition of processing oils and fats for over a century and a half. Through this initiative, AGRI has not only revitalized a portion of Liverpool but has also fostered the creation of eco-friendly job opportunities.
