ABP Petfoods Division expands with acquisition of Arovit Group, Denmark

ABP Food Group is excited to announce a major expansion in its Petfood division. The company has entered into an agreement (awaiting regulatory approval) to acquire Arovit Petfood Group. Arovit, based in Denmark, is a leading producer of Private Label Petfood in Europe, boasting five manufacturing sites across Spain, the UK, Austria, and Denmark, along with two sales offices in Italy and Germany. The product offerings of Arovit closely match those of ABP, encompassing a variety of pet food options such as cans, pouches, alutrays, dry food, and some treats. Arovit reports an annual revenue of €200 million and has a workforce of 620 employees. This acquisition marks a significant milestone for ABP, further establishing its position as the second-largest Private Label Petfood producer in Europe.
