ABP Ireland receives seven awards at National Food Awards
ABP Ireland has achieved remarkable success at the 10th Blas na hEireann, the Irish Food Awards, securing a total of seven accolades, including two gold and four silver awards. These awards celebrate the excellence of Irish produce across the island, and the ceremony took place in Dingle on September 30th. Blas na hEireann is renowned for being the largest blind tasting competition of Irish products. The ABP Food Group entered products in every category of the beef section, which included striploin steak, rib eye steak, fillet steak, and other beef products like meatballs and burgers. Out of all the entries, seven ABP products reached the finals, with each one receiving an award. It has been established through research that the Blas accreditation is highly recognized among Irish consumers. This year's competition saw a total of 2,500 product entries across various categories. The achievements of ABP's products in the four beef categories were as follows: Striploin - Bronze for the Specially Selected Tipperary Dry Aged Black Angus 30 day matured Striploin - Silver for the Specially Selected Black Angus 28 day matured Striploin Fillet - Silver for the Specially Selected Black Angus 28 day matured Fillet Rib Eye - Gold for the Specially Selected Tipperary Dry Aged Black Angus 30 day matured Rib Eye - Silver for the Specially Selected Black Angus 28 day matured Rib Eye Beef Other – Meatballs/Burgers - Gold for the Butchers Choice 3% low fat Lean burger gluten free - Silver for the Platinum Prime Sirloin Steak Burger Gluten Free Eoin Ryan, the Sales Manager at ABP, expressed immense satisfaction with the company's performance at the Blas na hEireann awards. He emphasized that the awards' focus on taste underscores the superiority of ABP's Ultra Tender process, which has led to ABP beef being served in over 200 Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide.
