ABP Bandon organizes a 5km Ukraine support walk

ABP Bandon organized a 5km charity walk on Sunday, April 10, 2022, aimed at gathering essential funds to support the crisis in Ukraine. The event saw participation from nearly 300 individuals and successfully raised over €4,000 on the day, with expectations of additional contributions following the event. The company has committed to matching the funds raised up to a total of €2 million across all ABP locations. The charity walk kicked off at 11:30 am from the ABP Bandon facility, weaving through the streets of Bandon town, and concluded at the starting point where participants were welcomed with refreshments, food, and entertainment for children. ABP Bandon extends its gratitude to all participants and organizers for their support and efforts towards aiding those affected by the conflict. ABP is an employer to several Ukrainian nationals in Poland and other parts of Europe. The company is actively collaborating with Polish authorities to provide direct humanitarian support to its employees who are suffering due to the conflict in Ukraine. John Kelleher, Managing Director of ABP Bandon, expressed his thoughts, stating, “It is our honor to contribute in any way we can to the dire situation in Ukraine.” To facilitate fundraising, sponsorship cards were distributed among all employees, their friends, and family members who participated in the walk.
