# Wright Brand Bacon Launches BaconGiftSwap for the Holidays

Feeling down about receiving another unwanted holiday gift? Don't worry - this year, you could finally receive the gift you truly desire and bask in the festive bacon joy. SPRINGDALE, Ark. – December 10, 2020 – Although it's the thought that matters, every festive season, people end up with unwanted gifts that are either regifted or stashed away in a closet. A festive consumer survey1 reveals that over 81% of Americans receive a gift they don't want every holiday season. The survey also indicates that more than half would prefer a single gift to brighten their holidays: bacon. This year, the team at Wright® Brand Bacon is aiming to break the cycle of poor gift-giving and provide people with what they truly desire through the inaugural #BaconGiftSwap. Aligned with the holiday gift-giving season, fans can join the #BaconGiftSwap by posting their unwanted gift on the brand’s Instagram and Twitter accounts for a chance to win a year's supply of hand-trimmed, thick-cut, real wood-smoked Wright® Brand Bacon. "Bacon is a holiday season staple, and we wanted to devise a way to help people continue celebrating their love for bacon," said Amanda Keedy, marketing director, Wright® Brand Bacon. "We were taken aback by the number of people who receive unwanted gifts and the number who would prefer the gift of bacon. We're making the holidays 'Wright' and giving bacon enthusiasts a reason to celebrate by simply swapping their unwanted gift for a year's supply of bacon!" Officially launching on December 30th, National Bacon Day, any bacon enthusiast can enter to win by simply posting a photo and description of their unwanted gift, along with why they love bacon, using #BaconGiftSwap, #Contest, and tagging @WrightBrand on Instagram or @WrightBacon on Twitter through January 15th2\. The brand will accept gifts such as socks, mugs, robes, ties, scarfs, ugly sweaters, candles, and unusual jewelry, as these were reported as the most common unwanted gifts in the survey1\. After the swap window closes, judges will select the "best of the worst," with a total of 100 bacon enthusiasts receiving the sought-after prize of a year's supply of Wright® Brand Bacon.
