Welcome to Cologne for Anuga 2023

The cooperative also discussed its Westfleisch "Animal Health" initiative at Anuga. This initiative aims to provide better preventative advice, raise awareness, and offer stronger support to farms in the future. Key elements include mandatory guidelines for collaboration between farm veterinarians and farmers, closer communication with official veterinary officers, more detailed data analysis focusing on animal welfare aspects, and stricter measures and consequences. "The initiative has been very well received by scientists, veterinarians, industry experts, and politicians," Kelliger reports. "It is already being discussed as a solution for the industry."
