# Tyson Foods Takes Stake in Lab-Grown Meat Company, Memphis Meats

On January 29, 2018, in Springdale, Arkansas, Tyson Ventures, the investment division of Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN), announced its investment in food technology company Memphis Meats. This company is at the forefront of creating meat from animal cells, a process known as cultured meat. This investment is part of Tyson Foods' ongoing commitment to discovering and implementing innovative methods to meet the increasing global demand for protein.
