Tulip Ltd to Refine Operations in Bromborough
On 1st March 2016, in Randers, Tulip Ltd declared its intention to begin a collective consultation process with several employees at its Bromborough location in the Wirral. This decision comes after an announcement in October of the previous year, where Tulip was unsuccessful in its attempt to maintain and expand some of its operations at the Bromborough location. This was a result of a recent supplier review with one of its clients. The Bromborough location of Tulip is known for producing fresh sausages for retail and food service clients in the UK. The existing contract with this specific client will conclude in May. Following this, there will be a gradual decrease in production, which represents nearly half of the total production at Bromborough. Tulip has strived to limit potential job losses, however, they have identified 121 individuals who are at risk of losing their jobs. Tulip Ltd will now initiate a collective consultation period with the representatives of the employees at the location.
