# Thai Union Secures Thailand's 2023 National Innovation Award

On October 9, 2023, in Bangkok, Thai Union Group PCL was honored with the 2023 National Innovation Award, recognizing its exceptional contributions to product research and development as an innovative private organization. The award was accepted by Tawat Suthasineenont, the Group Director of Thai Union Group's Global Innovation Center, who was presented the accolade by Associate Professor Dr. Soranit Silatham, the head of the National Innovation Agency (NIA). The ceremony saw the presence of Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, the NIA's Executive Director, alongside various other directors and key figures from both the public and private sectors. Since its inception in 2004, the National Innovation Award aims to celebrate individuals and entities that drive forward innovations benefiting the Thai economy and society. It promotes the achievement of innovation through the fusion of creativity and knowledge, fosters an innovative spirit within Thai society, and bolsters the culture and awareness of innovation.
