# Thai Union is set to extend a warm welcome to the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, with over 30 Chinese entrepreneurs scheduled to tour Thai Union's shrimp facility in Samut Sakhon.

BANGKOK – On June 23, 2023, Thai Union Group PCL announced its participation in a program tailored for Chinese business leaders as a segment of the 16th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC), scheduled to take place in Bangkok from June 24 to 26, 2023\. The company will host Chinese entrepreneurs at its shrimp processing facility in Samut Sakhon, offering a tour of the factory line to demonstrate its production technologies and a tasting session of its products. Thiraphong Chansiri, the CEO of Thai Union Group, expressed enthusiasm about being selected to join the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention. He highlighted the significance of hosting Chinese entrepreneurs and executives from various countries, emphasizing their keen interest in Thai Union’s frozen seafood operations. Chansiri believes that this engagement will enhance their confidence and foster business and investment opportunities, in line with the objectives of the Thai government and the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce to promote increased cooperation and business ventures in the future. Thanachote Boonmechote, the Managing Director of the Shrimp Business at Thai Union Group, remarked on the opportunity to showcase their state-of-the-art shrimp facility and its production capabilities, including the Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) technology employed to preserve the seafood's freshness. He also mentioned that a curated selection of their products, tailored to meet customer preferences, would be available for sampling.
