BANGKOK – On October 27, 2021, Thai Union announced its commitment to sustainability through its SeaChange® initiative, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals in its operational areas. This commitment extends to the education of children in these communities, recognizing it as a crucial step towards better wellbeing. The company's dedication is exemplified through its support of CONNEXT ED, a corporate social responsibility project that has garnered acclaim from the Center for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS). CAPS, an esteemed research and advisory body in Asia, has highlighted CONNEXT ED as an exemplary model of how public-private partnerships can successfully provide educational opportunities to underprivileged children. This initiative is among 20 selected across 11 Asian countries for its impactful contributions. In 2019, Thai Union Group PCL played a pivotal role in establishing the CONNEXT ED Foundation, aiming to enhance educational access for children by leveraging the company's resources, including knowledge, financial support, and staff involvement, in ongoing collaborations with educational institutions. This effort is in line with Thai Union's broader SeaChange® sustainability strategy, which prioritizes the upliftment of local community members where the company operates.
