# Seara executives discuss sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness in the poultry and pork industry at SIAVS 2022.

Seara is set to welcome visitors in a space infused with sustainability, also highlighting the commitment made by JBS to achieve Net Zero by 2040 \[JBS Announcement\]. At the SIAVS 2022 (International Poultry and Swine Industry Exhibition), Seara is unveiling its latest sustainability-focused innovations. The event, taking place at the Anhembi Convention Center in São Paulo from today until August 11, is expected to attract 2,500 participants. Organized by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), Brazil's largest industry event will feature conferences, debates, and symposiums with technical lectures covering sustainable management, innovation, logistics, and competitiveness in the sector. Seara will host visitors in a sustainability-driven space, emphasizing JBS's pledge to become Net Zero by 2040, aiming to neutralize its net greenhouse gas emissions. To this end, Seara is offsetting all emissions from the transportation for setting up and dismantling its booth, as well as the travel of team members and some visitors to the event. The stand is constructed from reused or recyclable materials, and the company will conduct daily waste monitoring. Highlights also include the Super Agro, Seara's relationship platform with nearly 10,000 integrated producers, and best practices in animal welfare. The SIAVS congress's second day (August 10) will feature Seara's CEO, João Campos, in the panel "Competitiveness factors of Brazilian poultry and swine farming," alongside other industry leaders. Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA, will moderate the session. Today, José Antonio Ribas, Seara's Executive Director of Agriculture and Sustainability, will participate in the "Challenges of Brazilian Competitiveness" panel in the afternoon. Other executives will also attend the event, as detailed in the schedule below.
