The establishment and operation of six new wells, funded by Agrícola Coexca S.A., will ensure a stable water supply for the consumption of approximately 500 residents of the rural locality of Sauzal, even during the summer months when demand significantly increases. This initiative is part of a long-standing collaborative effort between the company and the Rural Drinking Water Cooperative of this locality, located about 12 kilometers from the San Agustín del Arbolillo Pig Farming Center, owned by the company in a rural area of San Javier. The recently completed project includes the installation of pipelines that facilitate water extraction directly from the Sauzal stream bed, where the processing plant currently operates and from which the town's inhabitants are supplied. With the realization of this project, the community will leave behind the uncertainty of whether or not they will have access to water, especially during the summer season when water scarcity is an issue. The inauguration of the works was celebrated by the community in an event held in Sauzal, attended by executives from Coexca S.A., led by General Manager Guillermo García, the board and members of the Sauzal Rural Drinking Water Cooperative, as well as special guests. On this occasion, Adilio González expressed appreciation for the contributions of Agrícola Coexca S.A. and thanked the company for its efforts to bring these projects to fruition, addressing a longstanding issue in the area: the lack of water resources for the organization's members, 80 percent of whom are elderly. “This is the best Christmas gift for the residents of Sauzal,” declared the leader.
