# Royal Greenland’s Prawn Facility Earns Silver Validation from M&S

The Barents Sea's trawl fishery for cold-water prawns has received the MSC certification, recognizing it as a "Well managed and sustainable fishery". The certification is applicable to the entire 2017 fishery, which means that prawns caught from the start of the fishing season on April 2nd are included in the certification. The Akamalik, Qaqqatsiaq, and Nartarnaq trawlers, all owned by Royal Greenland, frequently fish in this area.
