Royal Commendation for Danish Crown Client

On 19th February 2015, in Randers, Paul Lederer, the head of Australia's biggest meat company, Primo Smallgoods, was honored with the Danish Export Association's diploma and the honorary medal from His Royal Highness Prince Henrik. The award ceremony took place in Sydney and was attended by several dignitaries including Børge Petersen, the Danish Ambassador to Australia, Kjeld Johannesen, the CEO of Danish Crown, and various Australian politicians and business figures. The award was given to Lederer in recognition of his significant contribution to the export of Danish meat to Australia since he first established contact with Danish Crown in 1996. Kjeld Johannesen praised Lederer, stating that he fully deserved the honor. He described Lederer as a dynamic and inventive businessman and a wonderful individual with whom they have enjoyed working over the years. Johannesen further credited Lederer for spearheading a significant portion of the trade development between Denmark and Australia, which has resulted in economic growth benefiting both countries and their respective companies. Primo Smallgoods, which was founded in 1985, has grown from a small company with 38 employees to Australia's largest meat corporation with 4,000 employees today. Johannesen explained that Lederer astutely recognized the potential of importing high-quality Danish products from Danish Crown for Australian bacon production, which has turned out to be a massive success for both parties. He further highlighted their strong partnership, noting that they initially agreed on Danish Crown supplying at least 1,500 tonnes per month, which Primo committed to purchase - all without any written agreement. The Danish Export Association's diploma and the honorary medal from His Royal Highness Prince Henrik are prestigious awards given to individuals or companies overseas, including Danish subsidiaries, who have made exceptional contributions to Danish exports.
