Protein Donated by Tyson Foods, National Association of Convenience Stores to Three Square Food Bank

On October 10, 2018, in Las Vegas, Tyson Foods, Inc. collaborated with the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) to donate a massive 35,000 pounds of protein to the Three Square Food Bank. This donation is part of their ongoing efforts to combat hunger in Southern Nevada. The food, which equates to around 140,000 servings, will be distributed by Three Square through its extensive network of over 1,600 community partners. This will ensure the food reaches those individuals and families most in need. Brian Burton, the CEO and president of Three Square, expressed his gratitude for the donation, stating that it would provide a much-needed protein boost to those who depend on Three Square. He thanked Tyson Foods and NACS for their invaluable support in their mission to alleviate hunger in their community. The NACS Show, one of the country's largest trade shows, is currently being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event, which runs from October 7 to 10, is expected to attract over 24,000 attendees from more than 60 countries and generate an estimated $44 million in business for the area. Jeff Lenard, NACS' vice president of strategic industry initiatives, expressed pride in their partnership with Tyson Foods to support the Las Vegas community during the NACS Show.
