Production Adjustments at Tulip Ltd

On 6th January 2016, in Randers, Tulip Ltd, a subsidiary of Danish Crowns, revealed plans to modify its operational structure in the UK. The firm intends to increase the production of cooked bacon at its Bodmin facility in Cornwall, while shifting all cooked meats production from Bodmin to other UK locations. This decision is influenced by both commercial and operational factors. This week, Tulip Ltd's management has communicated these plans to the employees at the impacted sites and will soon commence a collective consultation period with employee representatives at Bodmin. The aim of these discussions is to explore alternative suggestions, strategies to prevent job losses, and/or decrease the number of affected employees. Roughly 400 employees are potentially facing redundancy.
