# Olleco wins prestigious Award

#### Olleco has won the ADBA (Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association) Innovation in Food Waste Collections Award for the second time.

The awards are held annually to showcase achievements and innovations made by companies within the AD(Anaerobic Digestion) industry and to reward the “best of the best” in their class. Olleco beat off some impressive competition to be announced winner. Since 2012, Olleco’s collection service has expanded by 300% and now covers the whole of the UK from the Highlands of Scotland to the Isle of Wight. Adam Baisley, Commercial Director Olleco said: “This industry acclaimed award reinforces the huge steps we have taken and the commitment we have to becoming the largest and most innovative food waste collector in the industry.” Congratulating the award winners **ADBA chief executive Charlotte Morton** said: “After another year of stellar growth in the AD sector, the UK AD & Biogas Industry Awards is an excellent opportunity to reflect on the industry’s achievements. The huge number of quality entries received this year demonstrated the sheer grit and determination of the AD industry to keep innovating and improving. Set against a challenging policy background for renewables and continued economic difficulty, the anaerobic digestion industry has continued to fight for the recognition it deserves, resulting in some tough decisions for the judges and a superb set of winners.” Olleco, part of the ABP Group, is one of the largest collectors of used cooking oil and waste food products in the UK and Ireland. These waste products are then converted into bio diesel.
