Amidst the influx of contentious information in the media, Litera Meat wishes to distance itself from sensationalist narratives that misrepresent the company's operations and policies. Such unverified and out-of-context information has led to unwarranted social panic and baseless speculations devoid of credibility. Litera Meat has refrained from participating in media hype, choosing instead to provide accurate information backed by Health Authorities. We believe that a global health crisis, such as the one we are currently experiencing, should be handled with utmost informational integrity. We deeply regret that this situation has been exploited to disseminate a skewed message that often prioritizes sensationalism. Litera Meat does not align with such practices and will continue to share the factual aspects of the ongoing reality. Since the declaration of the state of emergency in March this year, Litera Meat has diligently adhered to the guidelines set by the Health Authorities, conducting daily evaluations to continually strengthen our contingency plan against COVID-19\. We have collaborated with various competent bodies to expedite the introduction of new preventive measures, prioritizing the protection and safety of our entire workforce. After conducting an initial round of serology-based tests at Litera Meat’s headquarters on 25th April, the General Management has instituted a protocol to promptly conduct PCR tests on seropositive staff and anyone they have been in contact with. To date, approximately a thousand employees have been tested, and the PCR tests have confirmed only 15 positive cases, many of whom were already on medical leave due to potential COVID-19 symptoms. These numbers equate to less than 1.6% of the total employees tested, a percentage that aligns with the current global COVID-19 situation. None of the positive cases have required hospitalization. All are self-isolating at home, receiving regular follow-ups from health services, and will not return to work until fully recovered. Litera Meat’s General Management will continue to share all pertinent information and maintains its commitment to delivering a supportive and uplifting message to the public.
