Noel White to Succeed Tom Hayes as CEO of Tyson Foods

Reiterates Revised Earnings Per Share Forecast for 2018 Springdale, Arkansas – September 17, 2018 – Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) today declared that its board of directors has named Noel White, previously group president of Beef, Pork and International and a member of Tyson Foods’ executive leadership team, as the new president and CEO, effective from September 30, 2018. White, who will also become a member of the board of directors, will take over from Tom Hayes, who is resigning due to personal circumstances. Although the company did not provide GAAP earnings per share (EPS) forecast, it reiterated its revised EPS forecast for the fiscal year 2018 of $5.70 to $6.00, as declared on July 30, 2018. John Tyson, chairman of the board of directors, stated, “Noel is a proven executive who has been a key part of our executive leadership team for many years. He has managed our beef, pork, and poultry divisions and is now helping Tyson Foods leverage international opportunities. His extensive institutional knowledge and an impressive track record over his more than 30-year tenure at Tyson Foods and a predecessor company give the board complete confidence in his ability to propel the business forward, expedite global growth and generate long-term value for shareholders.” Mr. Tyson added, “Tom has expedited the strategic transformation of Tyson Foods’ product portfolio and played a significant role in the company’s ongoing development. He has held various leadership positions throughout his career with Tyson Foods, including as chief operations officer. As group president of Beef, Pork and International, he was responsible for delivering top and bottom line growth for the company’s beef and pork segments as well as the international business. Previously, he was president of Poultry from 2013 to 2017 and has also held numerous sales, management and company officer positions.
