Mowi Excited to Publish the 2022 Annual Report

Mowi is thrilled to present our 2022 Annual Report. The year 2022 marked a significant milestone for Mowi's financial performance as we surpassed the EUR 1 billion earnings threshold for the first time in our six-decade history. This accomplishment was made possible through the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of our staff. The previous year underscored the importance of Mowi's mission to supply sustainable and nutritious food to an expanding global population. Spearheading a Blue Revolution is challenging, but we are confident that our unique advantages – Mowi's worldwide reach, complete integration, and pioneering role in innovation and research and development – will contribute positively to the world. 2022 was a landmark year for Mowi's financial performance, with an Operational EBIT of EUR 1 005 million, and the company surpassed the EUR 1 billion earnings threshold for the first time in our six-decade history. The record-breaking financial results were achieved through robust operational performance across all sectors and favourable market conditions for salmon. In terms of Farming, the relative seawater production was the highest ever, and harvest volumes of 463 600 GWT were nearly at an all-time high. By the end of the year, Mowi expanded into Iceland, the final missing piece in our geographical presence, by acquiring 51% of Arctic Fish. Consumer Products and Feed also had their most successful year to date. These accomplishments were made possible through the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of our staff. Unfortunately, the financial and operational records set in 2022 were overshadowed by the proposed resource rent tax on salmon farming in Norway.
