Mowi has once again set new records, achieving its highest-ever operational revenue of 1.36 billion euros in the third quarter, a significant increase from the 1.26 billion euros earned in the same period in 2022\. The company's operational profit for the quarter stood at 203 million euros. This success is attributed to robust operational execution, leading to record-breaking quarterly revenues of EUR 1.36 billion, spurred by unprecedented volumes across the group and seasonally high salmon prices due to strong demand. Mowi CEO, Ivan Vindheim, credited the company's exceptional performance to the combined efforts of his 11,500 global colleagues, high volumes, and favourable salmon prices. In the quarter, Mowi achieved a record harvest of 135,000 tonnes of salmon. The company maintains its full-year harvest volume guidance for 2023 at a record 484,000 tonnes and has set a new record for 2024 at 500,000 tonnes, marking a significant milestone for the company. Compared to the 375,000 tonnes harvested in 2018, the company has increased its farming volumes by 125,000 tonnes, primarily through organic growth. Mowi's annual growth rate of 4.9% during this period surpasses the industry average of 3.2%. Vindheim highlighted that volume growth is a key strategic pillar for Mowi, and the company's farming division has shown remarkable growth in recent years, especially with the achievement of 500,000 tonnes in farming volumes. Mowi Farming Norway, the company's primary farming entity, has increased its volume guidance for 2023 to a record 295,000 tonnes, up from 290,000 tonnes, due to excellent seawater growth and operational performance. The volume guidance for 2024 is set at 305,000 tonnes, surpassing the 300,000 tonnes mark for the first time in Mowi's 60-year history. The Consumer Products and Feed segments also had a strong quarter, with record seasonal volumes and operational results. Vindheim attributed these results to excellent operational performance, increased volumes, and sustained high demand for salmon, despite the challenging economic environment. Mowi was recently recognized as the world's most sustainable producer of animal proteins by Coller FAIRR for the fifth consecutive year. This accolade reflects Mowi's commitment to sustainability, which is integral to its operations. The company's Board has also decided to pay a quarterly dividend of NOK 1.50 per share.
