# McCain Foods Limited Welcomes New President for Canadian Division

Danielle Barran has been appointed as the country president of McCain Foods (Canada), a division of McCain Foods Limited, as announced by the company. Effective from August 20, 2018, Barran took over full responsibility for the Canadian commercial business. She will report to Jeff DeLapp, President, North America, and will spearhead the next phase of strategic development for McCain Foods Canada. Jeff DeLapp expressed his pleasure in welcoming Danielle to McCain, stating that her leadership will strengthen customer relationships and drive innovation, thereby reinforcing the company's leadership position and its commitment to bringing joy to Canadian families. Barran brings over two decades of leadership experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry to McCain, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results that focus on sustainable growth in market segment share, sales, and profitability. Prior to joining McCain Foods Canada, she served as the vice president of commercial strategy (pet division) at The J.M. Smucker Company. Barran, an active member of Women Corporate Directors and an ambassador for the Network of Executive Women, holds an MBA and HBA from the Ivey Business School. Editor's note: McCain Foods Limited is a global leader in the frozen food industry, employing over 20,000 people and operating 53 production facilities across six continents. The privately-owned company, led by President and CEO Max Koeune, generates annual global sales of approximately CDN$9 billion. In Canada, the company operates eight production facilities and employs around 2,600 people. Besides its famous French fries and potato specialties, the company also produces frozen desserts, snacks, appetizers, and authentic Chinese entrées.
