### **Litera Meat has been the first meat industry in Aragon to start the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in which, over two days, nearly 1.000 Janssen doses have been administered**

***OFFICIAL STATEMENT | 8-9 June 2021***

Litera Meat started this Tuesday 8th June the Covid-19 vaccination process for its employees, a campaign agreed and coordinated jointly with the **Department of Health of the Government of Aragon** in order to **preserve the safety and protection of workers in the meat industry,** a group that has been prioritised due to its majority and essential nature.

The vaccination process was carried out on site, at the Litera Meat facilities, where a large team of health workers went to administer the **Janssen vaccine** to the Litera Meat staff, as well as to the external personnel of those companies directly linked to the industrial activity of the meat plant.

**The corresponding departments of Litera Meat established a prior protocol in order to guarantee compliance with the various safety measures.** To this end, a space was set up with a one-way entry and exit circuit, reinforcing the staff for organisational and information tasks and scheduling the call-up of employees gradually and staggered according to the different work areas. The professionalism and responsibility of all parties involved was key to the smooth completion of both days, with a **total count of nearly 1,000 Janssen single doses administered.** A figure that demonstrates a significant percentage of acceptance, with more than **70% of the workforce** having authorised the Covid-19 vaccine.

**Litera Meat has been the first meat industry in Aragon to host this vaccination campaign and this fact is an example of collaboration and public-private coordination in favour of the health and protection of workers in the meat sector.** Once again, at Litera Meat we would like to highlight the effort and commitment of the various institutions and groups involved, thanking the **Department of Health of the Government of Aragon,** the team of **health professionals** involved, the **Security Forces** who were present to ensure the smooth running of the sessions and all the **employees of our company** for their involvement and exemplary performance.
