Danish Crown has revealed today that Theis Brøgger will take on the role of Vice President for Group Communication and Public Affairs, starting from April 1st. Theis Brøgger will take over from Astrid Gade Nielsen, who has decided to explore new opportunities after a seven-year tenure at Danish Crown and a distinguished 36-year career in corporate communication within the food industry. Theis Brøgger will be tasked with enhancing Danish Crown's image as a farmer-owned food company committed to achieving its sustainability goals. His responsibilities will include leading a transparent corporate communication strategy and fostering relationships and cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders. With 17 years of experience in corporate communication and strategic reputation management in an international setting, Theis Brøgger is well-equipped for the role. Before joining Danish Crown, he held several roles at Arla Foods, a global dairy cooperative, including Director of Media Relations in Group and Director of Corporate Communication in Arla Foods UK. Jais Valeur, CEO of Danish Crown, expressed confidence in Theis Brøgger's abilities, stating that his clear communication skills and proven ability to navigate a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment make him the ideal candidate for the role. Valeur believes that Theis Brøgger will further enhance Danish Crown's reputation as a sustainable food producer. Theis Brøgger expressed his excitement about joining Danish Crown, particularly at a time when the company is facing the significant challenge of meeting the nutritional needs of a growing global population in a sustainable, affordable, and accessible way. Regarding Astrid Gade Nielsen's decision to retire, Jais Valeur expressed his gratitude for her seven years of service at Danish Crown, during which she led the company's communication strategy and activities across all markets and stakeholders. He praised her for strengthening Danish Crown's reputation as a responsible and innovative food producer committed to sustainability, quality, and animal welfare. Astrid Gade Nielsen expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work with Danish Crown and build the company's new identity and reputation. She also shared her plans to pursue personal interests that she had previously put on hold due to her demanding work schedule.
