Knut Ellekjær becomes the new COO of Cermaq Norway

Knut Ellekjær, although a newcomer to the aquaculture sector, brings a plethora of expertise from various food industries. He has held the position of Production Director at Stabburet, Norway's leading pizza company, and Managing Director at Sætre, a Nordic biscuit firm. Currently, he serves as the Innovation Director for Orkla's Norwegian snacks and confectionery division. Knut's addition to Cermaq will bring invaluable skills and knowledge. His experience in the branded food industry, coupled with his extensive management and international experience, makes him a great fit for Cermaq, according to CEO Geir Molvik. Knut Ellekjær expressed his enthusiasm about the salmon farming industry, viewing it as a forward-thinking method of producing healthy food sustainably. He is keen to apply his experience to this new sector. Knut is set to join Cermaq no later than June 1.
