## Statement ABP Ireland 04 03 13

ABP Ireland welcomes the findings of Greencore plc’s investigation into the test result on their bolognaise product of two weeks ago. Greencore’s investigation has cleared ABP Nenagh as the source of any contamination ([http://www.greencore.ie/content.asp?page=581](http://http//www.greencore.ie/content.asp?page=581&ref=cibocom.ghost.io)). ABP’s own investigation included an extensive testing programme for all raw materials used in the batch in question. This involved the analysis of samples covering a total of over 720 boxes of beef cartons (approx 18,000 kgs of product). The tests were conducted under a stringent protocol with independent supervision & control. Tests were validated using three different laboratories in Ireland and Germany. All the samples have tested negative for equine DNA. ABP Ireland was very disappointed to be associated with this incident, but is pleased that the matter has now been brought to a conclusion. We would like to take this opportunity once again to thank you for your support over the last number of weeks. This statement is a follow up to our statement issued of the 15th February 2013
