# Environmental Assessment Commission approves project by Agrícola Coexca S.A.

The Environmental Assessment Commission of the Maule Region unanimously and decisively approved the project titled "Optimization of Slurry Management for the First Group of 24 Pavilions at the 10,000 Sow Pig Farm, San Agustín del Arbolillo," submitted by Agrícola Coexca S.A. This approval took place during a session held at the Regional Government's headquarters in Talca, on September 17\. Alejandro Christen, the Regional Director of the Environmental Assessment Service (SEA), detailed the implications of the Commission's decision during a press briefing. The Commission, led by Intendant Pablo Milad and composed of Regional Ministerial Secretaries with technical expertise, favorably assessed the Environmental Impact Statement for a project aimed at optimizing a slurry treatment system at Coexca's pig farm. This project had previously received an Environmental Qualification Resolution (RCA) in 2008\. The focus of the current assessment was on the reevaluation of the project, initially qualified in 2018, which had been sent back for further review and has now been requalified.
