Donnie King Assumes Role of President of Tyson Foods’ Poultry Business
Chad Martin has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer for Poultry at Tyson Foods, as announced on September 3, 2020. Donnie King, with over three decades of experience in the poultry industry, has been named the president of Tyson Foods' poultry business. King will be leading the company's chicken unit once again, providing guidance and mentorship to the leadership team, including the newly appointed Martin. Dean Banks, the president and incoming CEO of Tyson Foods, expressed confidence in King's leadership and believes his expertise will contribute to the strengthening of their chicken operations. King is excited to lead the poultry business again and is looking forward to working with Martin and the team to enhance safety and efficiency in operations, while catering to the evolving needs of their customers. King has been associated with Tyson Foods since 1982, serving in various executive leadership roles, including president of North American operations and group president of international. His most recent role was group president and chief administration officer, overseeing areas like food safety, quality assurance, health and safety, continuous improvement, engineering, and supply chain. Martin has been with Tyson Foods since 1998, leading the company's poultry and beef businesses and serving in various leadership roles in food safety and quality assurance.
