Collaboration between ABP and Meat Business Women
In anticipation of International Women's Day on March 8th, ABP is excited to reveal a strategic alliance with Meat Business Women (MBW). This collaboration aligns with ABP's objectives to enhance, empower, and cultivate female professionals within its ranks and throughout the broader meat sector. Established in 2015, MBW serves as an international network aimed at empowering forward-thinking women in the meat industry. Its goal is to foster connections among skilled and passionate women in various roles within the sector, and to spearhead the industry's evolution to become more appealing and supportive to top female talent. Through this partnership, ABP staff will gain access to insights from industry leaders, colleagues, and professional development experts via a range of events, networking functions, and mentoring programs offered by MBW. Kevin Cahill, Managing Director of ABP Ireland, stated, “This collaboration underscores our dedication to fostering and advancing female talent within ABP. We are committed to providing our team with opportunities for growth and development on both personal and professional levels. Partnering with Meat Business Women enables our staff to engage with and learn from an expanding global network of women in the meat industry.” Rebecca Fearo of Meat Business Women commented on the alliance, saying, “ABP Ireland's strategic support is a significant affirmation for Meat Business Women. We are eager to collaborate closely with their team to actively promote the sector. Our global gender report highlights how access to networking and mentorship significantly benefits women's career trajectories. It's heartening to see ABP Ireland championing female talent development and equipping their team with essential resources for success.” Meat Business Women has seen a surge in interest both nationally and internationally. Collaborating with regional partners, it boasts a worldwide membership and organizes events in Ireland, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, fostering a global community of women in the meat industry.
