Coexca S.A. has implemented a stringent preventive protocol across all its facilities in response to the health emergency caused by the Coronavirus, Covid-19, affecting the country. This involves a comprehensive program aimed at safeguarding all employees, preventing potential infections, and establishing a response mechanism for any positive cases within the company, a situation that could arise given Chile's current circumstances. The General Manager, Guillermo García, stated that the health of Coexca S.A.'s employees is crucial. Accordingly, "we have initiated protocols and measures designed to protect every company member, prevent potential infections, and determine the course of action for any positive cases among our staff, following procedures validated by the health authority. At Coexca S.A., people's care is a priority, and for this reason, a plan of actions has been implemented in this direction, in light of the health emergency caused by the Coronavirus. We are a strategic company that supplies food to thousands of families. This is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we cannot halt our operations, especially since we work with animals, living beings that need our care. Given the current situation in our country, we are aware that we will encounter positive Covid-19 cases at some point. We do not know when this will happen or how many cases there will be among us. However, it is highly likely that we will face this scenario. We are preparing for it, to protect our employees' health and, at the same time, keep the Company's operations running. Together, we face this emergency and will overcome it, all together as one big family!" he emphasized. He added that, during this time of contingency, work modalities have been adjusted as part of the contingency plan. However, he noted that generally, many employees of Coexca S.A. and its subsidiaries have continued to work and maintain the production process as usual.
