# Coexca S.A. doubles its export capacity with the most modern freezing system in Latin America

With the completion of the second and final phase of the Carton Freezer project, Coexca S.A. has doubled its freezing capacity for products, reaching 220 tons of pork per day. This expansion will enable the company to meet its challenges in the coming years and double its exports. The project features the most advanced system and equipment in Latin America, fully automated, including the addition of new cold storage chambers and an advanced continuous automatic freezing system. For this endeavor, the company enlisted the expertise and implementation services of Johnson Controls, one of the most prestigious firms globally in the sector. The realization of the Carton Freezer project is a key part of Coexca S.A.'s strategic development plan for the future and required an investment of approximately seven million dollars. Overall, the project included various complementary works and adjustments to the processing area infrastructure of the slaughterhouse. This encompassed the acquisition and activation of state-of-the-art equipment entirely purchased from abroad, which is part of the robotic system of the new freezing unit, as well as an expansion in the area of slaughtering, deboning, and other processes.
