Being a company at the forefront, innovative, and committed to environmental care requires us to incorporate more sustainable production and consumption models through the reuse, recycling, and renewal of elements that allow us to add value to our operations. Sustainable pig farming for us means embracing the circular economy. What is the circular economy in businesses? It is the adoption of a productive model that ensures sustainable growth over time, promoting the optimization of resources, the reduction in the consumption of raw materials, and the utilization of waste by giving it new life to turn it into new products; thus, maintaining a balance between progress and sustainability. The benefits of implementing sustainable pig farming that is respectful of the environment and that drives development in the economy of communities are possible if the right tools and strategies are available, as explained by Miguel Carbajal Rodríguez, our Director of Sustainability: "With the circular economy within the green model, there is a greater opportunity for business and rapid community development, which allows being a highly profitable and sustainable company." Our Circular Economy Strategies Zero Discharge Goal 2025 Aiming to recover and recirculate all the water from our production processes permanently. This project helps us position ourselves as a benchmark in terms of sustainability, best operational practices, and technological innovation. Currently, this strategy allows us to save 50 percent of water in its extraction, and based on further studies and research in the coming years, we will achieve the total recirculation of the water we use in our operations.
