Cermaq’s new branding strategy targets retailers
In the future, Cermaq plans to enhance the visibility of both its brand and its offerings. The newly appointed Group Marketing Director is a former employee of Mondelez International, a worldwide snack company. - The role of retailers in the primary markets is expected to expand, and our objective is to make Cermaq the top choice for customers seeking sustainable salmon, states CEO Jon Hindar. Cermaq has recently restructured its global sales into four key regions; Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America, and has bolstered the sales teams with local marketing support. With the appointment of Anders Tofte Wilhelmsen as Group Marketing Director, the new organizational structure is now complete. He previously served as the Nordic marketing manager at Mondelez International and has extensive international experience from Jotun, a global paint company based in Norway. - Cermaq aims to establish itself as a worldwide brand in the industry. Despite the company's name not being widely recognized beyond its current customer base, it is well-positioned due to its numerous unpublicized qualities. This presents an exciting challenge that I am eager to tackle, says Anders Tofte Wilhelmsen. Cermaq's marketing investment is a component of the company's new strategy, which targets leadership in four strategic areas; customers, operations, sustainability, and people. The strategy's objective is to become the go-to supplier of sustainable salmon for customers.
