The primary insight on sustainability performance for the quarter involves survival rates ranging from 92.5 - 97.3 % on a yearly rolling basis, with the highest rate recorded for trout in Chile. Antibiotic usage in closed cycles saw a 70% decrease in Chile compared to the same period last year. In Canada, the usage was further decreased to 9 gAPI/t for the fish harvested during the quarter. Cermaq Norway did not use any antibiotics for the fish harvested in the quarter. Average sea lice levels were within regulatory boundaries, except for a few sites in Canada where the levels surpassed the regulatory limit and have continued to do so. Measures are being taken to address this, including early harvesting and treatment with hydrogen peroxide. Cermaq Chile reported one escape incident where 6,284 Atlantic salmon with an average weight of 2.9 kg escaped due to a torn net. The complete report can be found on www.cermaq.com.
