# Baledge Joins the Board of Directors at Tyson Foods

On February 21, 2020, in Springdale, Arkansas, Tyson Foods (NYSE: TSN) announced the appointment of Les R. Baledge, aged 62, to their board of directors. Baledge previously held the position of executive vice president and general counsel at Tyson Foods from 1999 to 2004\. He has also worked in corporate and finance law at Kutak Rock and The Rose Law Firm, both based in Little Rock. His past board memberships include BMP Sunstone Corp. and Fairfield Communities, Inc. With Baledge's appointment, the board of Tyson Foods now has 13 directors. Baledge will also serve on the Governance and Nominating Committee. John Tyson, the Chairman, expressed his excitement about Baledge's appointment, citing his deep understanding of the company and his rich background in law, business, and strategy as assets that will contribute to the company's ongoing growth. Baledge holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Westminster College and a law degree from the University of Arkansas.
