Annual Recognition for Seven Firms Springdale, Ark. – April 12, 2018 – Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) has named seven firms as recipients of its prestigious thirteenth annual “Supplier of the Year” awards. The awards were handed out at a lunch event at Tyson Foods’ Global Headquarters, with Tyson Foods’ President and CEO Tom Hayes and Senior Vice President of Procurement Melanie Russell in attendance. The 2017 Supplier of the Year award recipients include: Hantover, from Kansas City, MO, a supplier of MRO distribution Hugg & Hall Equipment Company, from Springdale, AR, a supplier of location services Bunzl Processor Division, from Riverside, MO, a supplier of OEM and Aftermarket Archer Daniels Midland, from Decatur, IL, a supplier of ingredients Cargill Kitchen Solutions, from Monticello, MN, a supplier of specialty ingredients In addition, a few companies were recognized for their outstanding performance in specific areas: Packaging Specialties, Inc., from Fayetteville, AR, as “Diversity Supplier of the Year.” Symrise, Inc., from Teterboro, NJ, as “Innovator of the Year.” The awards were given based on supply-chain performance, total cost of ownership, pricing programs, customer-service performance, innovation, sustainability initiatives, and other performance metrics observed throughout the year. “Our suppliers play a crucial role in fulfilling our Customer Promise – our conviction that when our customers succeed, we succeed,” stated Tom Schaeffer, senior director, procurement for Tyson Foods. “The suppliers acknowledged this year clearly embody this conviction – forging deep, collaborative partnerships centered on delivering value, service, and innovative solutions that enable Tyson Foods to succeed for and with our customers.” About Tyson Foods Tyson Foods Inc.
