Last month, ABP Food Group UK won Environmental Initiative of the Year 2016 at the Meat and Poultry Processing Awards with our industry leading redevelopment of ABP Ellesmere.

Last month, ABP Food Group UK won Environmental Initiative of the Year 2016 at the Meat and Poultry Processing Awards with our industry leading redevelopment of ABP Ellesmere. With a £30 million investment into ABP Ellesmere, the site now boasts a new Combined Heat and Power unit and onsite Water Treatment Plant as well as a Biodiversity corridor. This, along with its Carbon Neutral certification, makes it one of the most advanced and sustainable beef processing facilities in Europe. This award is testament to the hard work and planning which led to the successful redevelopment of ABP Ellesmere, as well as the continuing effort of the group as a whole to reduce its environmental impact. The Meat and Poultry Processing Awards are one of the most prestigious in the industry designed to recognise and reward expertise, innovation and skill within the processing sector.
